Obituary for Richard Keith Jenkins

Richard K. Jenkins, 75, of Brandon, FL. died Friday, February 7, 2025, at Brandon Hospital surrounded by family and after talking to family on his phone. He was born in Schneider Home in Eldon, Missouri on May 27, 1949, the son of the late Herschel Isaac and Alicia Lucille Jenkins. He graduated from Eldon High School in 1967. In 1969, he went to proudly serve in the United States Navy in Whidbey Island, Washington as an Aviation Fire Control Technician maintaining ballistic flight computers, and servicing planes. He also played softball, basketball and football for his Navy teams. After military service, he attended Linn Technical College and worked at Cheseborough Ponds. He then moved to St Louis and worked for Mylee Digital Science making inventory computers testing electronics. Next jobs were at Artonix testing electronics, Emerson Electric repairing Tow Missile launches, LaBarge Medical in St Louis managing the Field Service department. In 1980, he moved to Elfers, FL for a job at Johnson & Johnson Critikon, Incorporated working in the testing department. Later moving to Brandon, FL he continued working for Critikon, Group Technologies and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He was a Mason at Brandon Masonic Lodge No 114 in Brandon, FL. Rick enjoyed being with his family and friends, visiting historic sites, going to the beach, playing golf, softball, wallyball, bowling and beach volleyball. Rick enjoyed watching old movies, was an avid reader and was extremely knowledgeable of historic moments. He was often called “The Hatman” for the variety of hats he collected and wore. Known for his storytelling, Rick always kept a smile on the faces of those around him. He was a friendly, caring soul who was always there if you needed a hand. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; four children, Tammy Wickham (Dave), Scott Ellermann, Nicole Cohn (Steve), Amy Davidson (Stephen), 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and brothers Hershel Jenkins (Carolyn) and Randall Jenkins (Susan). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Jenkins, and great grandson Wesley Bryan. Instead of a service, Richard desired for family and friends to share stories of fun memories they had with him. Godwin, Ebba Andersen, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 after a wonderfully full life at the age of 92. Born in New London, Connecticut on February 20, 1933, Ebba's family moved to Tampa in 1944. In 1949 Ebba married her high school sweetheart and began a long career as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ebba retired from Hillsborough County Schools after a 25 year career as a bookkeeper serving the students and administration of Oak Grove Middle School. She loved her large, extended family and meeting with friends and co-workers for lively conversation. Ebba was preceded in death be her husband, Hale Godwin, Jr. and her brothers, Paul and Carl Andersen. She is survived by her children, Karen Godwin Snyder, Jan Godwin Fulghum, Loren Godwin, and her two brothers, Dennis and Chris Andersen. Ebba was a grandmother to seven and great-grandmother to seven. Ebba will be remembered for her love of family, great conversation, and her faith. In lieu of flowers, hug your family and keep them close. As she wished, a small service will be held for her immediate family.

Ana Lucia Morini, age 78, of Riverview Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Lucia was born in Itagui, Medellin, Colombia on September 23, 1946, the daughter of Antonio Jaramillo and Margarita Ramirez. She worked many years in manufacturing assembly line and packaging in Colombia and at the BigY supermarket in CT as a bagger. Lucia was preceded by her loving husband, Bruno Morini. She is survived by daughter, Beatriz E. Webb of Riverview, FL; brothers, Julio Jaramillo and Juan Jaramillo; sisters, Cecilia Gonzalez, Gloria Jaramillo, Julia Jaramillo and Irene Hidalgo; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday morning April 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, Florida. A Celebration of life Service will follow at 1:00 PM. Cynthia Dumas Fuentes, 66, of Riverview, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. A native of Detroit, MI, she had resided here most of her lifetime and was a 1976 graduate of Brandon High School. She is survived by her sons, Josh Fuentes and John Fuentes; daughter, Taylor Fuentes and 7 grandchildren. Services are scheduled for a later date.
